Rae Lane
Co-owner and General Manager of CLUB 14 FITNESS
After completing high school in Tallahassee, Florida, Rae moved with her family to Pensacola to attend Pensacola Christian College. Later, she discovered a talent in wallpaper installation, and became one of Amelia Island’s best installers. Her thirst for fitness began when she joined the Amelia Wellness Center in 1996 in an effort to ‘gain weight.’ Some guy named Doug, the General Manager of Amelia Wellness Center, decided that he would work with her to achieve her goal. Approximately, two years later, she had achieved her goal. The weight she gained included: a husband, a house, a health club, and eventually a dog named Jasmine. Rae currently manages the club’s operations and continues to run a very tight ship at home. She has been a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Aqua Aerobics Instructor, a Board of Health Food Handler, Apex Supplement Certified, a Florida Department of Health Tanning Bed Operator and is now a Certified Body Pump Instructor. As the CLUB 14 FITNESS Manager and Operator, her job is to keep the ship steered and moving in the right direction.
Doug Lane
Co-owner of CLUB 14 FITNESS/Owner of CrossFit Amelia Island
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, then raised in a small Wyoming town, Doug has always had a love for competitive sports. Track and field, bicycle racing, basketball, weightlifting and kickboxing are just a few of the many things he has done. In 1990, he became interested in bodybuilding while enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado and changed his major from Education to Exercise Physiology. Doug competed in bodybuilding all throughout college, winning the Southern Colorado and taking 2nd in the Mr. Wyoming. Eventually, employment brought Doug to Florida in 1995 to become the General Manager at the Amelia Wellness Center. In 1997, Doug met and married Rae. Together they purchased the club and ran it until 2006 when Doug decided to start CrossFit Amelia Island. He currently holds CrossFit classes and private coaching sessions which challenge clients on a daily basis!
Amy Ryan
Fitness Consultant
Amy moved to the island in 1996 from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and became a member of the Amelia Wellness Center (now CLUB 14 FITNESS). She was hired in 1997 to be the club’s Membership Accountant. She left in 1999 to take advantage of some opportunities in Jacksonville. Life happened and seven years later, Amy found herself at 180 pounds and miserable. She knew that the only way she was going to gain control of her life was to get healthy again. She knew she could change if she could surround herself with people who were positive about being healthy. For Amy, that meant coming back to the club as a member, then taking a part-time position as a Fitness Consultant. She was back at her home gym and within three months had lost 35 pounds! She has now lost and kept off a total of 50 pounds, crediting the encouragement of both the staff and members of CLUB 14 FITNESS!
Leanne Church

Leanne joined the CLUB 14 FITNESS family in December of 2007. She has lived in Fernandina Beach since childhood and graduated from FBHS in 2006. Leanne is studying toward a B.S. in Nutrition. In 1998 he went out on his own, opening Antzak Chiropractic Holistic Health Care Center with a full gym facility where he not only rehabilitated his patients but provided personal training as well. Chris believes “we are born whole, we die whole, therefore we should be treated whole.” Seeking a slower pace of life to raise his two young children, he and wife, Lorrie eventually moved to Fernandina on the recommendation of his brother who lives on St. Simons Island, Georgia. Chris came to CLUB 14 FITNESS as a full-time trainer in 2006 to bring his experience and expertise to our clients. He enjoys helping them not only reach their fitness goals but become “whole” as well.
Dan Cermak
Personal Trainer/Group Fitness and Group Cycling Instructor
Those who know Dan fervently hold to the belief that he was not born of this world. He did however manage to get into the University of Chicago and emerged four years later with a degree in Biology. He then went on to graduate school at Colorado State University where he studied reproductive endocrinology specializing in hypothalamic-pituitary interaction. While there, in the middle of the night staring out at racks and racks of test tubes yet to be analyzed, Dan had an epiphany. “I don’t want to do this," he cried. “I want to be an aerobics instructor.” That was more than 25 years ago, and the rest is history. Join him in his never-ending quest to become a world class instructor and personal trainer.
Michelle Arseneau
Instructor
Originally from Connecticut, Michelle grew up in a large family of 8 children, so, to be noticed, she was very active and competitive! After having her first child, she reluctantly tried group fitness with afriend in March of '95. She got certified to teach group fitness later that year and hasn't stopped since! She currently holds certifications with AFAA, Les Mills Body Pump, and Zumba Gold. She has also dabbled in
bodybuilding competitions after being inspired by Dana
(Edge) Stewart. Michelle is very passionate about exercise and it shows in her classes and when inspiring others to get started in exercise or tying new classes. When not at Club 14 Fitness teaching or on the road running, Michelle loves being with her family & friends, eating M & M's (which she refers to as her multi-vitamins!), and stamping!!!

Jill began personal training in 2008 in South Florida and realized her huge passion for fitness and helping people reach their goals. Being in the gym is where Jill feels most comfortable. Her goal as a trainer is to motivate, educate, and push her clients harder than they would push themselves. Look for Jill on the Group Fitness schedule as a part of the LesMills group fitness team!
